A new set of signature leotards, a line of training products, and a brand partnership with Hershey’s aren’t the only things 19-year-old Simone Biles has racked up on her Road to Rio. Last week, she shattered a 42-year record by winning four consecutive national championships, in which she slayed routines on the beam, the vault, and the mat.
According to Tide’s Evolution of Power video, Simone is the smallest in the history of the game (she’s only 4 feet, 9 inches) and also “performs the most difficult moves ever seen in female gymnastics.”
After her historic win, she tweeted “OLYMPIC TRIALS BOUND !!!” and Instagrammed a photo of her at last week’s P&G champonships rockin’ a leotard she helped design, saying: “super excited and blessed to have the opportunity to compete in Olympic Trials next week. thank you to everyone that has had faith and confidence in me. Couldn’t have done it alone.💙”
Watch her kill it on the mat during her 4th win in a row, below, and tune in to see what’s sure to be another monumental moment as she competes in the Olympic Trials in San Jose, starting on July 8.
