Howard University HoCo Fashion Holds it Down

Homecoming season is upon us.

This past weekend was packed with reunions, concerts, and football games from a gang of HBCUs — Grambling State University, Florida A&M University, Lincoln University, Johnson C. Smith University, Howard University, Spelhouse, and more.

Homecoming, especially at an HBCU, is not only a time for celebration, tailgating, and showing love to those who endured similar academic and social experiences as yourself, but it’s also a time to pop out (definition: show out in terms of dress, outfit or attire; be seen). And the Howard crew definitely. did. that.

Now before you call me biased, I didn’t go to Howard. But, I did go to school in D.C. and have friends who went to Howard (so I might be slightly biased). Nonetheless, “The Mecca” holds it down and demonstrates nothing less than better than best when it comes to their fashion choices.

And with this homecoming coinciding with the school’s 150th anniversary, postin’ up flawless was the only option. Here are some of the best fashion looks from Howard Homecoming 2017, as told by social media:
