1) The cast of The Game posted up on stage to announce its series finale date (Aug 5) — AND that Melanie and Derwin will be back for the final episode!!! 

2) Bad Boy celebrated 20 years in the game with an EPIC set that gave us life! Mase was there! Faith was there! Lil’ Kim was there! All that was missing was a Total reunion.

3) Janet Jackson didn’t peform, but the dance tribute to her was EVERYTHING! Tinashe, Jason Derulo, and Ciara, killed it! 

4) There was a rap battle to end all rap battles when T-Murda and Chocolate Droppa (AKA Kevin Hart) had a freestyle face-off!

5) Jussie Smollett, Serayah, and Yaz hit us with another bangin’ medley from Empire!

6) Yara Shahidi and her “tiblings” from Blackish brought their nae nae skills to the stage.

7) Nicki Minaj won two awards last night — but, she didn’t know what award she was getting the second time around! Mid-acceptance speech, she’s like,”Uhhh, what was this award for? I’m sorry…” (It was for Viewer’s Choice.)

8) And then there was that one time when this guy referred to the show as the BET Hip-Hop Awards — a completely different show — as he threw us to a commercial break.
