Sesi is looking for amazing contributors who can bring a young, conversational, clever approach to articles in the following departments (print and digital):
- Love, etc.
Writers must demonstrate reporting experience through published clips* that showcase how well they can create and present a story that will engage our readers. Our freelancers need to be able to pitch fresh ideas and story angles for articles that our readers can only find in Sesi.
If you’re interested in contributing, you do not have to be local to the Washington, D.C. metro area, as work will be submitted electronically. You will need to have solid knowledge of AP Style and spelling/grammatical rules, as well as be able to meet deadlines, submit thoroughly researched articles, and write from the Black perspective (specifically, with Black teen girls in mind). Please refer to our Writers’ Guidelines for more information on how to apply.
*If you are currently a college student studying journalism or other related field (or you’ve recently graduated), you can count your collegiate reporting experience and published clips.
