Ong, there’s really no role Jazlyn Martin would ever turn down. Empathy is her driving force, and sis is not in the business of gatekeeping; she’s a storyteller. Periodt. “I feel like I would still find some truth in [it] because I feel like saying no to a story is saying no to a part of myself that I can explore,” she says. “Even if I, Jazlyn, don’t resonate with [a] character or [a] story, someone else does, and I feel like I have more of an obligation to share that story because I’m conflicted with it.”
