The Black Girl’s Guide to a Snow Day Movie Marathon

Next to playing “Own It” on repeat ten times in a row every night before you go to sleep (nothing like a little Mack Wilds to send you off into the land of good dreams), you’ve added stalking your school system’s Twitter feed and praying for another snow day to your pre-slumber ritual.

And you’ve pretty much been #winning. All winter long.

But on the real, there’s only so many times you can watch back-to-back reruns of Moesha or pretend to do your English homework from, like, two weeks ago on those days off. And you kinda got burned out from snowball fighting after the fifth day out of school.

Prepare for the next Polar Vortex ahead of time by stocking your library with these must-have movies. Then, when another snow day rolls around, call up your girls in the neighborhood, fix some hot chocolate, ready a few bags of popcorn, and press play on these.
